Angelina Faritovna Galimova, head of the autonomous non-profit organization "Committee of Families of Warriors of the Fatherland" of the Republic of Tatarstan, gave a speech at an extended meeting of the Expert Council under the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan. In her report, she presented the results of the organization's work for 2024 and outlined the key problems faced by military families.
It was noted that in 2024 alone, more than 800 people attended the Committee's events. The organization is actively working in several areas, including legal assistance, psychological support for families and assistance to wounded soldiers. This year, the Committee sent 82 tons of humanitarian aid, several UAZ vehicles and more than 1,500 sets of dry army showers to the special military operation zone. The total amount of assistance provided was 1.3 million rubles.
During the speech, the main problems requiring special attention were voiced: the search for missing servicemen, difficulties in obtaining support measures for families, social isolation of the families of the deceased and lack of information on payments. To address these issues, the Committee proposed a number of specific measures, including improving the mechanism of interaction between military registration and enlistment offices and the families of servicemen, as well as supporting the initiative of the Presidential Council on Human Rights to continue payments to the families of missing persons until they are recognized as dead.
In conclusion, the head of the Committee expressed gratitude to the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Republic of Tatarstan and personally to Sariya Kharisovna Saburskaya for their ongoing support and effective cooperation in solving the problems of the families of servicemen.
