The attitude towards people with disabilities has always been the main priority in the formation of social policy of the Russian Federation, which is aimed at providing them with equal opportunities with other citizens in the realization of economic, social, cultural, personal and political rights provided for by the Constitution of the Russian Federation.
Creating conditions for accessibility of common property in apartment buildings for people with disabilities is one of the directions of this activity.
Citizen G., a wheelchair user and resident of Kazan, applied to the Apparatus with a request for assistance in installing a ramp on the first floor and at the entrance to the entrance of an apartment building. For several years, the applicant was cut off from the outside world due to the lack of an “accessible environment”.
As a result of joint work of our employees with the Administration of Aviastroitelny and Novo-Savinovsky districts of the Executive Committee of the Municipal Executive Committee of the City of Kazan and the managing organization, the applicant's appeal was resolved positively. Work has already been carried out to install a ramp in the entrance and a ramp on the porch of the apartment building where the applicant lives.
