Thanks to the Commissioner's intervention, a leak in the apartment of a Kazan resident was repaired
The Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan received an appeal from citizen L. about the need to repair the roof and apartment of a residential building on Daurskaya Street. The author reported that the roofing had been leaking for 40 years, the ceiling was in a state of disrepair, and therefore the apartment needed to be repaired. The complainant repeatedly applied to the management company and the contracting organization, but the leaks continued.
The Commissioner sent appeals to the State Housing Inspectorate of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Tatarstan. Based on the results of consideration of the requests, the State Housing Inspectorate of the Republic of Tatarstan announced and sent a warning to the management company about the inadmissibility of violation of mandatory requirements for the maintenance of common property. The prosecutor's office found that repairs to the roofing and cosmetic repairs to the applicant's apartment had been made. The procurator's office and the housing inspectorate conducted a joint commission inspection, no leaks were found, and the apartment was repaired, the ceilings were painted and the walls were wallpapered.
Citizen L. has no complaints, she is satisfied with the work performed.
