Human rights activities of the Commissioner are multifaceted. In our activities we try to cover a wide range of legal relations, to identify problematic issues faced by the residents of our republic and their resolution.
In May-June of the current year we have planned familiarization field trips to institutions for orphans and children left without parental care.
Today, Zulfiya Gilmutdinova, an employee of the Commissioner's Office, together with employees of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan visited boarding school No. 11 for orphans and children without parental care with disabilities.
During the visit they familiarized themselves with the living conditions of the children, the observance by the institution of their rights to life safety, education, provision of medical care, provision of technical rehabilitation equipment, protection of property rights, creation of a comfortable environment, and others.
The children live in small groups of apartment type in the form of family residence. The educational process is organized taking into account the children's health limitations, and leisure interests are widely covered.
Based on the results of the visit, it is important to note that there are no random people in the institution. All specialists from managers to technical staff are maximally involved in creating the best conditions for the children.
Based on the results of the study visits, we will conduct an analysis in order to develop proposals for improving the work of these institutions to maximize the rights of this category of children.
