Meeting on the protection of the rights of orphans
Orphans and children without parental care are, unfortunately, the most vulnerable social group in need of special care on our part.
So far this year, I have received 50 requests for accommodation for orphans and children deprived of parental care and persons belonging to them. Having a home is an essential aspect of life for every person.
During the year, the staff of the Office of the Plenipotentiary made nine visits to the regions of the Republic to familiarize themselves with the situation on the ground. Today, in the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan, we met with representatives of the departments of tutorship and guardianship to summarize these trips.
Of course, we have made a number of suggestions for improving the protection of the rights of orphans, such as monitoring by the guardianship authorities of the timely submission by legal representatives of applications for inclusion of orphans in the list of people needing accommodation.
Only together can we protect our children! We will keep this issue under control, I think we will be able to achieve excellent results!
