Traditional ceremony «I am a Russian citizen»
Solemn presentation of passports to young citizens took place today in the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan. The traditional ceremony «I am a citizen of Russia» was timed to a landmark event - the Day of the Constitution of the Russian Federation, today the Basic Law of the country turned 30 years old. The Chairman of the State Council Farid Mukhametshin handed out passports to 14-year-old Tatarstan schoolchildren.
Twenty schoolchildren from different municipal districts of the republic were invited to the solemn ceremony, showing high results in their studies, winners of the Olympiads, sports competitions, active participants in the public life of the school.
The Chairman of the State Council expressed gratitude to parents and teachers for the comprehensive education, upbringing and development of children.
Parents and teachers, deputies and employees of the Apparatus of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, representatives of the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan took part in the presentation of the passports.
