«The best social educator of the Republic of Tatarstan»
One of the most urgent and socially significant tasks facing us today is the prevention of juvenile delinquency. The prevention of juvenile delinquency requires complex and multifaceted work. In order to improve the system of prevention of neglect and juvenile delinquency, the institute of social educators is actively carrying out its work.
Every year, successful citizens, from among the heads and secretaries of rural settlements, school directors, head teachers and representatives of prevention subjects, voluntarily become social educators of minors. This year, 2,076 social educators were assigned to juvenile offenders and to adolescents in difficult circumstances. Some 970 minors, or 75 per cent, had been removed from the register.
Since 2010, the competition «The Best Social Educator of the Republic of Tatarstan» It is aimed at increasing the authority, the status of public educators who assist parents in the upbringing of adolescents in difficult life situations. Today in the building of the Tatar State Puppet Theatre «Ekiyat» the ceremony of awarding the winners of the annual Republican competition «The Best Public Educator of Minors of the Republic of Tatarstan» took place. My representative attended the event.
The winners were determined by seven nominations, distributing three prize places in each. The leaders in the nominations were public educators from Kazan, Baltasinsky, Zelenodolsky, Bavlinsky, Nizhnekamsk, Kukmor districts of the republic.
