Meetings of the Expert Council under the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan
This year, we decided to hold thematic meetings prior to the enlarged meeting of the Expert Council under the Commissioner in order to discuss specific topics in more detail, collect expert opinions on them for reflection in the annual report.
Issues and topical problems of improvement of legislation on human and civil rights and freedoms, legal education, interaction of the Commissioner’s institution with public authorities and civil society institutions have been put forward for discussion today.
The report of the Commissioner for Human Rights should be comprehensive and take into account the views of our distinguished members of the expert council. In November, we are also planning to hold meetings on the protection of human rights in places of detention.
