Today, on behalf of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan, employees of the Apparatus, together with a public assistant, checked the conditions of detention in detention facilities in police departments OP 4 «Yudino», OP 7 «Gagarinsky», 16 «Yapeeva», 11 «Sunrise».
The purpose of the inspection was to examine the conditions of detention of citizens in specially designated premises for holding persons detained for administrative offences, as well as the observance of their rights and legitimate interests.
She conducted a selective interview with citizens held at the facility regarding the quality of the food provided, the conditions of detention and the treatment by the prison administration. The comments have been taken up.
As a result of the visit, it is planned to prepare a letter summarizing the results and recommendations of the Ombudsman in the Republic of Tatarstan addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan.
