The All-Russian Conference «Daddy's against Bullying»
«Dads against bullying» is a community of fathers who want to prevent children from bullying, and teachers who develop effective methods to prevent bullying.
Today, the All-Russian Conference «Pope against Bullying», held by the All-Russian public organization «The Union of Fathers», in which my employee of the Office of the Ombudsman in the Republic of Tatarstan took part as a listener.
Bullying is a topical topic today. That’s how the event started today.
The urgency of bullying lies in the fact that in today’s world children are increasingly confronted with the problem of cruelty and violence, and do not always know how to behave in such situations, whom to address and how to avoid the negative consequences of school bullying. And such adult problems of young children were discussed today at this event. The event was also held with the participation of the Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights of the Russian Federation Maria Alekseevna Lviv-Belova, who delivered a welcoming speech and highlighted several key issues such as: the absence of a fixed concept of «bullying»Lack of information on successful anti-bullying practices, insufficient legal mechanisms for its prevention, as well as a shortage of professionals working with children exposed to bullying.
All speakers agreed on one point, namely, the relevance and great importance of this topic, which requires very serious measures, including legislative responses.
