«I remember, I am proud!»

Today Saria Saburskaya took part in «Dictation of Victory», in which thousands and thousands of people of different ages and different professions take part. This is the fifth international historical dictation dedicated to the events of the Great Patriotic War.

The main goal of the action is to preserve the memory of the war years, exploits of front-line soldiers and workers of the rear. To defend the immutability of historical truth, to promote the formation of firm and deep knowledge about the Great Patriotic War, about the significance of the victory of the Soviet people over fascist Germany.

Why is it important to write «Dictation of Victory» where the main thing is not victory, but participation? Even preparation for «Dictatant Victory» and participation in it help to better know the history of the native country, especially against the background of cynical attempts to distort the historical truth and to diminish the role of our country in the defeat of fascism against the facts. To know the historical truth is to preserve and protect it from lies.

Fatherland, Motherland are bequeathed to us by our ancestors. We will not have another Fatherland and another country. Each generation discovers for itself the Great Patriotic War in a new way. The knowledge of history allows the present generation, especially the younger generation, to feel their involvement in this feat, pride for belonging to a great nation, to a great country.

We owe it to the veterans to know the truth about the Great Patriotic War.

It is essential to preserve the truth about that war and to protect the memory of the feat of the Soviet people. The history of the Great Patriotic War is alive, does not freeze on the pages of books, is not forgotten in the memory of peoples-heroes. History must be known, honored, respected, preserved and now there are many opportunities, one of them is the international action «Dictation of Victory».
