Meeting of the Committee of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan on legality and law and order

Today, a meeting of the Committee on Legality and Law and Order was held, where the deputies heard a report on the activities of the executive authorities of the Republic of Tatarstan for 2022, considered control issues.

As part of the monitoring question, the members of the committee heard a report by Zili Valeyeva, Chairman of the Public Chamber, on the state and development of civil society institutions in RT in 2022.

The members of the relevant committee recommended the Public Chamber of the Republic to strengthen cooperation with municipal entities in the provision of information on social and economic support measures taken by the state, to take an active part in the work on preservation of traditional family values, protection and popularization of cultural heritage, patriotic education of the younger generation, as well as to develop a «road map» for the implementation of these directions.

Today the meeting considered the issue of amending the Rules of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan. As the Chairman of the Committee noted, the relevant amendments are being made in connection with the need to bring the Constitution of RT into conformity. The meeting also approved the plan of activities of the Committee on Law and Order for the second quarter, and supported a number of federal bills. In particular, the bill «On amendments to Articles 3 and 4 of the Federal Law «On Veterans» provides for the granting of the status of veteran and disabled combat personnel, Taking part in combat operations in the territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics as part of the Armed Forces of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics in the period from 12 May 2014, because the status of veteran and disabled servicemen is currently not granted to these categories of citizens.

Another federal bill «On observance of silence and peace of citizens in the Russian Federation» proposes to establish uniform requirements for individuals and legal entities on the observance of silence and peace of citizens throughout the Russian Federation.

The bill also proposes a period of from 22 to 7 local hours. In addition, the project provides that construction and renovation work may be carried out during the period from 9 to 19 hours local time on weekdays, with a mandatory break from 14 to 16 hours local time.
