Today, we visited the "BlagoDaryu" social adaptation center in Kazan together with Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
"Blagodaryu" ANO is implementing a project on assisted living for people with mental health problems. Currently, 7 people are participating in the project, all of them are pupils of the Derbyshkinsky orphanage, intended for citizens suffering from mental disorders.
This social project exists at the expense of a grant allocated by the VTB-Country Charitable Foundation, as well as grants from Rosmolodezh.
As project manager Gulnara Galiakhmetova said, this project is designed to organize accommodation for people with intellectual disabilities. The project was supported by Rustam Minnikhanov within the framework of the Personnel Reserve program.
All participants of the “Blagodaryu” project are included in the program at their own request or at the request of their guardian. They have certain incomes (disability pension and their wages), which they spend on paying for housing and communal services and buying food, and on household expenses.
Today, the organization of assisted living is an effective form of life arrangement for citizens with mental health problems.
At present, another 12 people are ready and able to leave psycho-neurological boarding schools, accompanied by specialists, all of them can also be adapted to living in normal conditions.
