The Human Rights Commissioner of the Republic of Tatarstan plays an important role in protecting the rights and freedoms of citizens. Its duty is to inform the authorities of citizens' communications, complaints and requests, and to address them in cases of violation of their rights.
The Commissioner should have direct contact with the population, as they were the source of information on violations of their rights.
Personal communication with the citizens during the reception allows the Commissioner to get a full picture of the situation and to study in detail the issues that concern the residents of the republic. He can listen to the opinions of citizens, help them understand difficult situations and give them advice that will allow them to defend their rights.
Seven people came to see me today. Every year a huge number of people need treatment and rehabilitation, and the State has mechanisms to support such citizens. That’s the kind of question K turned to me.
The collective of citizens approached me on the issue of refusal to initiate criminal proceedings. The question concerned the property and its illegal seizure.
I would like to remind you that personal reception of citizens is carried out by prior appointment. Please call (843) 236-41-80 (reception of the Ombudsman).
