The Commissioner for human rights in the Republic of Tatarstan hosted a hotline on the protection of the rights of citizens in the institutions of the penal system

The relatives of the convicts were interested in the issues of the parole of their loved ones, as well as the replacement of the unserved part of the punishment with a milder type of punishment, there were questions about the possibility of transferring the convict to serve the sentence in a correctional institution closer to home, questions of long-term visits.

The questions of providing medical assistance to convicts and sending them for medical examination, as well as providing them with medicines were discussed.
