Visiting the Center for Temporary detention of Foreign Citizens and Stateless Persons of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan

On February 22, 2018, the staff of the Office of the Commissioner of Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan, the public assistant of the Commissioner of Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan, visited the Center for Temporary Detention of Foreign Citizens and Stateless Persons of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Foreign citizens are given explanations on issues of administrative deportation,

meetings were held with foreign citizens, whose appeals are in the work of the Commissioner, new appeals accepted in work.

Also, during the visit of the Center for Temporary Detention of Foreign Citizens and Stateless Personsthe health care unit was inspected. Violations of the rights to medical care of foreign citizens contained in the Center for Temporary Detention of Foreign Citizens and Stateless Persons are not identified

Within the framework of the working meeting, the current issues related to the content of foreign citizens and stateless persons in the Center for Temporary Detention of Foreign Citizens and Stateless Persons, their documentation, as well as issues of interaction were discussed.

It should be reminded that counseling of foreign citizens held by the Center for Temporary Detention of Foreign Citizens and Stateless Persons, employees of the Office of the Ombudsman, and the public assistant of the Ombudsman is carried out on a regular basis.
