International day of disabled people

4 December 2017, Monday

In 1992, at the end of the United Nations decade of disabled people (1983-1992), the UN General Assembly, by its resolution No. 47/3, declared December 3 The international day of disabled persons, designed to draw attention to the problems of people with disabilities, protect their rights and provide favorable conditions for life.

For every civilized state, it is very important that all its citizens have equal opportunities, rights and freedoms, and that people who require special attention do not feel thrown to the side of life. It is important to provide them with the opportunity to move freely, to learn, to work, to communicate, to participate in public and political life. Tatarstan was among the first to implement the state program "Accessible environment" to increase accessibility for people with disabilities and other people with limited mobility of social, transport and engineering infrastructure. Equal rights and opportunities for each of the people — this is a high goal that society seeks. Let each of us makes a contribution to its execution.

Many of them are now taking an active life position, trying to overcome their share of difficulties and live a full life: to engage in sports, creativity, to participate in public life.

Sincerely I wish everyone, who is not indifferent to the disabled and their problems, happiness, prosperity, faith in their strength and the implementation of all plans and dreams!
