In 2018, the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan continues the practice of visiting citizens in the municipal districts of the republic.

On June 20, the Baku International Conference of Ombudsmen on "The Role of National Human Rights Institutions in promoting and encouraging legal equality" began its work in Baku.

Today on June 14, 2018 IV Reporting and Selection Conference of the Public-State Association of the DOSAAF of the Republic of Tatarstan was held.

The round table was attended by officials from international organizations - the United Nations, UNESCO, the European Coalition of Cities against Racism, the FIFA Organizing Committee 2018, the Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the Government of Moscow on regional security and information policy, the head of the Department of Sport and Tourism of Moscow, the governors and authorized representatives on human rights of the Russian regions hosting the FIFA World Cup 2018, the human rights ombudsman in the Russian Federation, and the regional commissioners from 11 subjects of Russian Federation.

On May 30, the Federal Ombudsman Tatyana Moskalkova, at a 436 plenary meeting in the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, presented the Report on the activities of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation for 2017 year.

On May 16, a meeting of the Council of Commissioners for Human Rights under the chairmanship of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moskalkova was held in Yalta.

On April 13, employees of the Office of the Commissioner for Human rights in the Republic of Tatarstan participated in a speech on the functioning of the GIS of the RT "Public Control" at a round table on "Public Control as a Tool for Improving the Efficiency of the Housing and Communal Services Sector", held within the framework of the interregional meeting on the Volga Federal District on the topic: "Public control and housing education - ways to improve the efficiency of the housing and communal services."

March 16, 2018 in the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan signed an agreement on the interaction of the Commissioner and the Regional Office of the Social Insurance Fund of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Tatarstan.

Over 50,000 appeals were sent by citizens of the republic to the People's control system in 2017 which is 11 times more than in 2012, when the service only started working. In total, during six years, about 150,000 notifications were received in the system from the Tatarstan citizens.
