Work of public assistants: results of the week in the regions of the republic

Public assistants to the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Republic of Tatarstan continue their active work on the ground, aimed at protecting citizens' rights and promptly resolving emerging issues.

  • Gulia Balafendyeva, a public assistant in Kazan, visited Correctional Colony No. 10 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan, where she inspected the conditions of inmates.
  • In the Alkeyevsky District, they participated in the work of the "Yardem Yaneshe" headquarters, where they considered an application from the wife of a deceased special military operation participant for a one-time financial assistance for home repairs.
  • In the Bavlinsky District, a report on the activities of the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Bavlinsky Municipal District in 2025 was presented at a joint 10th district meeting and a meeting of the 5th convocation of the Bavlinsky City Council. They also, together with the chair of the library workers' trade union, congratulated R.Z. Akhmetgareev, a veteran librarian, was congratulated on his birthday by presenting a greeting card on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin, as well as a food gift from the district administration and trade union.
  • In the Agryz district, together with representatives of the district branch of the Socialist Federal Service for the Protection of Humanities, a meeting was organized with the widows of those involved in the liquidation of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant accident.
  • In the Arsk district, they addressed preschool teachers at a republic-wide seminar on professional competencies, inspected the conditions of detention in the temporary detention facility of the Arsk district department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, where they spoke with suspects and defendants, and held a meeting with students of the Starochurilinskaya Secondary Comprehensive School, where they discussed the rights and responsibilities of individuals and citizens.
  • In the Menzelinsky District, as part of the #EcoSpring-2026 republican project, the "Birdhouses" campaign was organized and held at Secondary School No. 1.
  • In the Pestrechinsky District, residents participated in the work of the housing and living conditions commission, where they reviewed applications from eight citizens. Furthermore, as part of the International Day of Liberation of Nazi Concentration Camp Prisoners, residents, together with the head of the district's social welfare department, held a meeting with Maria Petrovna and Vasily Trofimovich, presented gifts from District Head R.A. Suleimanov, and answered questions.
  • In the Aktanyshsky District, residents served on the jury for the municipal stage of the republican Olympiad for Young Inventors, "Kulibins of the 21st Century."
  • Public assistants from the Tetyushsky and Alkeyevsky Districts participated in the meetings of the district anti-drug commission. During these meetings, additional measures to ensure public safety, prevent terrorist attacks, and prevent extremist activities during the preparation and holding of festive events were discussed.
  • Community assistants from the Alekseyevsky, Sabinsky, Pestrechinsky, and Aksubayevsky districts participated in the meetings of the draft boards.
  • The practice of holding joint citizen receptions also continues. For example, in the Zelenodolsky district, a reception was held with the participation of the district prosecutor. In the Pestrechinsky district, joint receptions were held with the head of the social welfare department and specialists from the "Zabota" Social Services Center, as well as with the district head, R.A. Suleimanov. In the Bavlinsky district, a citizen reception was held jointly with the deputy head of the client service department of the Social Fund of Russia district branch.

Thanks to this extensive work, problematic issues are identified promptly and the necessary assistance is provided to residents of the republic!
