We held a lecture for future social workers of the republic!
An employee of the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Republic of Tatarstan gave a lecture for future social workers—students of Kazan State Medical University.
The meeting focused on the specifics of working in penitentiary institutions.
Working in prisons requires not only a strong knowledge of the law but also a special psychological approach. The students discussed important aspects:
- How to build effective social work with prisoners.
- What is the role of protecting human rights in isolation.
- How to help people prepare for reintegration into society (resocialization).
The future specialists asked insightful questions about real-life cases and the challenges faced by human rights defenders.
This is an excellent opportunity for the students to see the profession from the inside, and for us, to pass on our experience to those who will help people in difficult life situations tomorrow.
