A meeting of the Expert Council on providing comprehensive assistance to families in difficult life situations and the role of social shelters for children was held
Today, an Expert Council meeting was held on the topic of comprehensive assistance to families in difficult life situations and the role of social shelters for children. We reviewed the current state of support for families with minor children, discussed key issues, and identified areas for improving interagency cooperation.
During 2025, together with relevant agencies, we analyzed efforts to provide assistance to families at social risk. Particular attention was paid to the interaction between prevention agencies and social shelters.
As part of this work, members of the Administration visited five shelters in municipal districts of the republic. Overall, the facilities provide the necessary conditions for the rehabilitation and development of children, but certain shortcomings were identified. I sent recommendations on these to the municipalities and the Ministry of Labor, Employment, and Social Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan, which were promptly implemented.
Following the meeting, I emphasized the need to continue monitoring the situation in municipalities in order to promptly identify violations and strengthen the system for protecting the rights of children and families in difficult life situations.
