Monitoring of the rights of suspects and accused
In 2023, the Commissioner, staff of the Apparatus and public aides continued to monitor respect for the rights of suspects and accused persons.
A total of 10 joint thematic sessions were held within the framework of the Legal Assistance Days for 153 convicted persons;
Every year, approximately 10 per cent of citizens' communications come under this heading and concern the observance of citizens' rights by the pre-trial investigation, inquiry and court;
The Commissioner was involved three times as an interested person on applications from persons detained in institutions of the penal correction system;
In 2023 on the territory of the republic FGU ITZ-1 UFSIN of Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan (Kazan), a site at FGU ITP-1 UFSIN of Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan (Kazan), UFITS under FGU-10 UFSIN of Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan, which we planted;
Following the results of the reporting year, 564 small psychotherapeutic groups, 230 lectures, 77 training sessions and more than 800 individual consultations were held with the convicted persons in the correctional institutions in the established «rehabilitation units». 80 convicts have passed the rehabilitation program in «detachments». At the end of last year, several dozen people were undergoing rehabilitation or post-rehabilitation courses.
