Today, Chairman of the State Council Farid Mukhametshin met with leaders of public organizations that conduct their activities in the territory of Tatarstan. At the meeting, which took place in the parliament of the republic within the project of the Public Chamber of the Republic of Tatarstan «Dialogues with the authorities», the issues of preservation and strengthening of traditional family values were discussed.
An important event was the approval by the Presidential Decree of the Principles of State Policy for the Preservation and Strengthening of Traditional Russian Spiritual and Moral Values. Of course, the Head of Parliament believes that civil society institutions have a special role to play in the implementation of this policy.
Farid Mukhametshin called on public organizations of the republic to become more actively involved in this work, to analyze how laws and decisions in this sphere are implemented at the regional and municipal level, to stay in contact with families, to inform and explain existing support measures, Assist in obtaining them.
According to the Chairman of the State Council, despite the comprehensive work to preserve and strengthen traditional family values, there are a number of issues that require joint efforts of the state and society.
In particular, Farid Mukhametshin drew particular attention to the situation with the number of divorce proceedings. In Russia, the number of dissolved marriages is growing for the third year in a row. In Tatarstan, the situation is somewhat better, but remains alarming. The demographic situation remains challenging. The Head of Parliament believes that in solving these issues by economic and political means, one should not miss the cultural, spiritual, moral and ethical component of the problem.
