Visit to UFIC at FGU IK-10 UFSIN Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan
It is impossible to protect the rights and legitimate interests of persons held in places of detention, including those belonging to the penal correction system of the Russian Federation, without periodic visits.
That is why today an employee of my Apparatus together with members of the Public Supervisory Commission of the Republic of Tatarstan with the participation of a representative of the Nizhnekamsk City Prosecutor’s Office conducted a trip to the UFIC-10 UFSIN of Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan (Nizhnekamsk) to verify the complainant’s claims, whose rights may have been violated, and to meet him.
With the assistance of members of the Public Supervisory Commission of the Republic of Tatarstan and a representative of the Nizhnekamsk City Prosecutor’s Office, the issue was resolved.
In addition, an employee of the Apparatus got acquainted with the living conditions in the Federal Prison Service of the Federal Penitentiary Service of the Federal District of Ufa-10 in the Republic of Tatarstan and talked to the convicts. There had been no complaints about conditions of detention.
