Administrative responsibility for imposing additional goods, works and services on consumers
On 28 September 2023, the State Duma adopted and approved by the Federation Council on 11 October 2023 the Federal Act of 19 October 2023,505-FZ "On amending article 14.8 of the Code of Administrative Offences".
Article 14.8 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation is supplemented by provisions establishing administrative liability for imposing additional goods (work, services) on the consumer for a separate fee, as well as for unjustified refusal to consider consumer claims related to the violation of their rights, or evading consideration of such claims in the manner established by law.
In addition, the law introduces an administrative fine for officials and legal entities for unjustified refusal to consider consumer claims related to the violation of their rights, or for failure to consider such claims.
