Visiting meeting of the Committee of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on Family, Women and Children

Today, our compatriots are participating in a special military operation, and as Commissioner and our staff, I am involved in all issues and forms of work with the mobilized and their families and participate in providing them with all necessary and every possible support.

Today I took part in the retreat of the round table of the Committee of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on Family, Women and Children’s Issues «Social Support of Families with Children in Modern Conditions».  The topic of my speech was mainly related to support for families of servicemen participating in the military special operation. Stressed that special attention should be given to the treatment of problems of payment, delivery of food and medicines, psychological assistance and other treatment (counseling, household tasks, housing and utilities, credit holidays, free meals, etc.).

In turn, she suggested that consideration should be given to the drafting of a regulation providing for the payment of allowances to family members of servicemen to be paid in accordance with the procedure established by the Rules, The Government of the Russian Federation approved the Decree of 14 July 2000. 524, in particular, the terms of notification and the timing of payment.

I believe that the identified gaps in the legislation lead to the conclusion that it is necessary to streamline the work on determining the order and time frame for the family members of servicemen to receive the payment due, Since the capture of a member of the armed forces or the issuance by a commander of an act declaring him or her missing, and informing family members of the capture or disappearance of a member of the armed forces.
