Visiting detention centers

The Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan Sariya Saburskaya together with a representative of the Public Oversight Commission of the Republic of Tatarstan visited detention centers №1 and №2in order to comply with the rights and freedoms of man and citizen.
Detainees were mostly worried about issues of conducting a preliminary investigation.
Several woman, who are concerned further destiny of their children, as well as the procedure for registration of guardianship over them, addressed the Commissioner.
The Commissioner for human rights in the Republic of Tatarstan did not receive any complaints about detention conditions, food, medical care and treatment.

As human rights defenders, we should be as open as possible to the people, so holding receptions for citizens is mandatory for us. Each reception of citizens just reminds how important and should be held.
