The Coordination Council of Russian Commissioners for Human Rights has started its work

Today in Moscow has begun a meeting of The Coordinating Council of Commissioners for Human Rights in constituent entities of the Russian Federation which is devoted to problems of protection of the rights of citizens to education.

The purpose of the event — a joint discussion of topical issues identified in this area, and the development of systemic proposals that will provide citizens with equal rights and opportunities for quality education.

Within the framework of The Coordination Council, the ombudsmen will consider topical issues in the field of education: lack of places in pre-school educational institutions, creation of comfortable conditions of stay in educational General education institutions, the problem of schools’ liquidation in rural areas due to the economic inexpediency of their content, ensuring the availability of inclusive education and others.

It should be noted that the event is an important link both in the interaction of the commissioners and in the dialogue of the ombudsmen with representatives of state institutions.
